About me
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Risk Assessment and Adaptation Strategies (RAAS) division at the Institute for Climate Resilience of the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), where I am working on matters surrounding climate change adaptation. Prior to this, I held a postdoctoral researcher position at the DIW Berlin, where I worked on climate change mitigation topics. I hold a Ph.D in Economics (2022) from Deakin University focusing on the economic costs of natural disasters, a M.A. in Economics (2017) from Bogazici University, a M.Sc. in Finance (2014) from Grenoble Ecole de Management and a B.Sc. in Mathematics (2012) from Bogazici University.
My research interests include economic development, microeconomics, applied micro-econometrics and empirical methods. Thematically my research is clustered around three branches: socio-economic consequences of natural disasters, climate change mitigation and adaptation along household decisions.
I have contributed to policy work at the DIW Berlin and the OECD. Feel free to reach out and discuss research or policy relevant matters.
